"yes... I believe in god.... no, i am not kidding myself."

I really hate how some people think that Christians are 'brainwashed, naive idiots who believe in what they WANT to believe.' I mean I know all atheist are not like this... (and i'm not trying to offend any atheist here, I'm sorry if you take this personal) but there IS evidence out their, and I have had a personal experience with my religion. *Am I about to get flamed? O_O *

But this is also a reminder to myself... lately I've been having some doubts and inner issues... and this is to remind myself to keep fighting for my faith :)

Bless all you watchers Christians, Atheist, Jews, Agonist, Believers, Haters, and Lovers alike. I pray for you all and may you find your peace. Here's another thank you for all the support!

AMEN! :iconlawooplz:

Oh... and i almost forgot.... this is my first 'Self Portrait' So I hope I did a good first try at it ^^;

"I really hate how some people think that Christians are 'brainwashed, naive idiots who believe in what they WANT to believe.' "

Except those people are right, you are a Christian because you were brainwashed, literally.

If you were not raised in a Christian family, if you were raised in a place where the Christian faith wasn't so prolific, a place where say Hinduism was the majority faith, what do you think the chances would be that you'd be Christian? Practically 0%, right? Chances of you being a practicing Hindu would be significantly higher. So why are you a Christian and not say a practicing Hindu? It's because you were indoctrinated as a child into a religion probably by your parents, it's not like it's possible to become a Christian through objectively discovering Christianity in nature, because Christianity doesn't exist in nature, it requires one to be indoctrinated in to it.

As a wise man once said, if all civilization were lost today, if all of mankinds knowledge were lost, eventually we would claw our way back to the same scientific understandings we have today, but we would never ever replicate any of the religions we have today, completely new religions would take their place.

You all religous people are a sad pieces of garbage who can't think for themselves.
Brainwashed apes.
Sad losers who think they are smart.

I don't believe in God. I believe in the Greek gods who were there before some dumbass came up with Christianity. It's just a theory. Have faith in it all you want, it's nothing more than a theory and a trick of the mind. All religions are like that, but I prefer the Greek's religion because... well... no one is running up to me saying, "Do you believe in Zeus and Hades? :DD" Instead, I get the jackoffs who come up with their hard-core, original copy bible saying, "Do u luv jeesuss?"

Actually, there isn't any evidence for any god, let alone the god of the christian bible. Personal experience could count as proof, but only for you to believe.

True, there is no hard core evidence that can say or not whether there is a God, but there is hidden proof if you are willing to see it.

Most if not all hidden proof of a God, is based on a creation vs. Evolution debate.

Before I explain, could you tell me why don't believe, other than there is no proof. I'm just curious if you have any other reasons.

You are aware that, even if by some crazy chance you prove evolution wrong, you cannot connect any god to that, right?

I don't believe because there is no proof. Same reason I don't believe in unicorns or the Loch Ness monsters.

If life was not created by evolution then what created it?
Even if there is no proof for a God, there is no proof of evolution either.

I don't believe in ridiculous things like the Loch Ness monster either, at least not the one that people depict.

So if there was solid proof you would believe?

that's usually the first thing people ask when I ask them about Jesus. It's usually, "You're kidding right?" or "Really...?"

Thanks for this inspiring message. We got to keep the faith even though we're ridiculed!

No matter who you are and what you believe, there will be people who will enjoy tearing you down. I believe as long as you live your life and respect how others wish to live theirs then in the end it will all work out for the best. So find strength in your Faith. Don't allow the beliefs of others to turn it into a noose of self doubt. Yet be free to new ideas. Variety shouldn't threaten you but allow you to discover more about yourself and your Faith. And know you are loved and that you have worth.

Sorry to say, trying to convince others people to not believe in something greater than themselves is like trying to carve your face into the moon. Its possible, but its gonna take a hell of a lot more work than posting a bunch of links on a website.

well, where i live(quebec), religion is not a problem at all ,and the only people that believe in god are the elders. So to me its pretty pointless to start anything like that here. In america religion seems to be more of a problem , even tough i would like to help , i got other things on my mind like sports, school and friends. So im pretty much limited to write comments on the internet.

Not exactly, just using your energy inefficiently. If you really wanted to change public belief, you could draw a piece displaying your opinion, create an online movement or even try something crazy like approaching your official representative of congress. This is America, you are only limited by laws, death and taxes. "Anything" is possible.

I hate when people who don't have faith, preach tolerance and open mindedness however ridicule people with faith. Logic and Reason of mankind is great for our world, but it has no comparison when matched up with the philosophy of the universe. Never lose your faith, never lose your wonder, because we are made in the image of god, which means we can shape our future for the better or for worse, its our choice and God hopes by sending his son to die for us, we'll make the right choice.

Imagination is more important then Knowledge, Knowledge is limited, imagination encompasses the world.

I hate when other people who are atheist make the rest of us look bad by telling religious people that their beliefs are crap. It's like dude, really?! C'mon.
I'm proud that there are people out there who are willing to accept faith and religion even with all the bad things happening out there - especially if the people are as tolerant as you. :)
